Tack Items Stolen From Ethridge Barn
Authorities are working to determine whether tack items stolen from a barn in Ethridge are among items recently recovered in Giles County.
The victims reported that several items had been taken from the barn at their Pyles Lane home. Missing items included saddles, bridles, back straps, a breast strap, girth, bits, and horse blankets. The items had a value in excess of $2,000.
The couple reported that they had recently heard a news report from Giles County, indicating that the Giles County Sheriff’s Department had recovered a number of tack items.
The female victim said that she had contacted Giles County authorities but was told that she needed to first file a police report with local officials, then provide a photo of the missing property.
They said they could then work to determine whether any of the recovered items belonged to the victims.
Investigation in the matter is on-going at the present time.
