Lawrenceburg Fugitive Apprehended On Florida Charges
A Lawrenceburg man wanted on charges issued through the State of Florida was apprehended on fugitive of justice charges during the weekend.
According to reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, agents were notified that a fugitive from justice might be residing at 304 Simpson Street, Lawrenceburg.
When they arrived at the home, deputies report verifying that Harvey Scott Jordan, III, age 23, was living there. Jordan was reportedly on probation in Taylor County, Florida, in connection with charges of burglary, grand theft, grand theft auto, fleeing to elude authorities, and escape. Taylor was found to be in violation of the conditions of his probation when he moved from that area.
Jordan was booked through the Lawrence County Jail on one count of being a fugitive from justice. Authorities indicate he will be extradited to Florida to face a violation of probation charge there.
