Resident Reports Threats By Telephone

   A Lawrenceburg woman reported Saturday that she had received threats over the telephone which had caused her to become fearful for her safety, prompting law enforcement officials to initiate an investigation.

   Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department spoke with the victim shortly before 10:00 p.m. at her Clearview Avenue home. She indicated that the threats had been directed toward her by a woman who had been arrested earlier in the day by officers with the Ethridge Police Department.

   Reports show that the woman in question had been arrested earlier in the day, then released under bond. Afterwards, the victim reports that the woman began telephoning her, making threats of bodily harm. The victim told officers that she fears the woman “will make good on the threats.”

   Detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division have been tasked with conducting a more thorough investigation into the matter.
