Motorist Advised Of Street Closing

   Officials with the City of Lawrenceburg have issued an advisory to area motorists, indicating that a section of First Street will be closed throughout the coming week due to planned construction work.

   Officials indicate that the section of First Street that lies between Nixon Avenue and First Avenue, will be closed beginning Monday, January 12, in order to relocate utilities in conjunction with the city’s on-going flood control project. Once the utilities work is completed it will clear the way for construction of a new bridge across First Street, expected to be completed in the near future.

   Officials report that the street will be reopened on Friday, January 16, 2009.
