Beach Days And Big Kahuna Fundraiser

The annual Beach Days and the Big Kahuna fundraiser begins January 18, 2012 with all fundraising concluding at the beginning of the 3rd quarter of the Lady Cats basketball game on Friday, January 20, 2012.

Clubs and organizations may begin setting up booths for daily activities Tuesday, January 17 from 2-5 P.M.

The funds raised from this year’s event will continue to fund the Centennial Scholarship program established in 2008 and has since awarded thirty scholarships to students totaling $15,000.

Each year, a small percentage of funds raised are directed toward capital improvements on campus.

Clubs and organizations have selected their candidates for the coveted Big Kahuna honor. According to Principal Michael Adkins, “since 2008, thirty scholarships at five hundred dollars each totaling $15,000 have been awarded to students who are now attending a college, Trade School or University.

The funds generated from this year’s event will continue to fund the scholarship program with a small percentage of funds directed toward capital improvements on campus.

With the help of our community and that of student body, faculty and staff, I am confident our fundraising efforts will continue to be a success.

Many thanks in advance to all who will give generously of their time and energy to help improve our school and continue providing scholarships to our students."
