Resident Charged With Harboring Vicious Dog

   A Lawrenceburg man garnered charges of harboring a vicious dog during the weekend, after his dog reportedly went onto another property and bit a visitor.

   Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department answered the 1:00 p.m. call to 524 Fourth Street. The victim, age 52, reported she had been in the yard at her daughter’s home when the dog come onto the property and bit her just below the knee.

   Officers tracked down the owner of the dog the following day at his 302 Second Street home. He was unable to provide papers documenting that the dog was up to date on vaccinations.

As a result of the matter, the owner, Christopher Lee Michard, 26, was issued a citation, charging him with harboring a vicious dog. He is slated to answer the charge in Lawrenceburg City Court on January 27, 2012.

   The victim did require medical attention as a result of the attack.
