Couple learns of threats, finds home riddled with bullets
Lawrenceburg Now
A West Lawrence County couple filed a police report Tuesday, indicating that after learning that a couple had been making threats against them, they discovered bullet holes around their son's window.
The victims reported to Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies that the series of events began when their home was burglarized in November. Since that time, they said they have received word from several different individuals about a couple who had made comments about the burglary.
Recently, they said they have been warned that the female suspect had expressed threats to "shoot their house up."
On Tuesday, the couple said they noticed their son's bedroom window was broken and they found bullet fragments on the windowsill.
While inspecting the damaged window deputies discovered around eight additional bullet holes in the vinyl siding surrounding it. In another spot, it appeared that a bullet had grazed the siding.
Deputies noted that it appeared that none of the bullets had actually penetrated the walls. Altogether, damages to the house were estimated to total $500.
Investigation into the matter is currently being conducted by detectives with the department's Criminal Investigation Division.
