Shoplifting
Police officers spoke with security personnel at Walmart on Tuesday, who reported that a woman had checked out on Christmas Eve without paying for ten of her items. Loss was estimated to be $200.
Vandalism
Officers were called to a Geri Street apartment Christmas Even where an eighty-four year old resident reported that someone had punctured a tire on her vehicle. Damages were said to be $80.
Vandalism
A Lawrenceburg resident filed a complaint with police officers on Friday, indicating that he had rented his 1994 Ford F150 truck to an acquaintance. He said when he located it, he found substantial damage. The victim said there was damage to the passenger side door and bedside that was not there the last time he saw it. Damages were assessed at $1,500.
Fraud
Officers spoke with a Lawrenceburg woman last week who reported that her spouse had obtained several loans in her name without her knowledge or consent. She told officers that he had obtained money from loan agencies on four occasions, totaling $3,645.36. She said that she was only made aware of the situation because she received notification through the mail, indicating that no payments had been made on the loans.
Vandalism
A Sixth Street resident reported damages of around $1,000, stating to police officers that someone had driven into her backyard fence. Officers recovered a headlight lens from a Ford vehicle lying adjacent to the damaged fence. A witness told officers that he had seen a white extended cab Ford F150 leaving the area.
Burglary
Officers were dispatched to a Second Street home last week where they took reports from two victims. The resident reported that someone had broken into her shed, stealing items that belonged to an acquaintance. She said the lock had been broken off of the building. The second victim told officers that several of his belongings had been stolen, including a chainsaw, pressure washer, some ramps, a nail gun, and an assortment of hand tools. He estimated his loss at $1,151. The resident was able to provide officers with the name of a suspect in the case. The investigation is currently on-going.
Theft
Residents of a Sixth Street home requested that an officer be dispatched to investigate a burglary. They said they had returned home to find the rear door was unlocked. They told the officer that the door had been secured when they left. Many items belonging to three individuals were stolen. Missing were a PS4 gaming console and several games, a number of wrist watches, Go Pro camera, several paintball guns, and one AR15 .223 caliber rifle. Altogether, they estimated losses at $2,900.
Vandalism
Police officers collected a car mirror at the scene of a reported vandalism last week. Reports show that a motorist had struck a mailbox at a home on Jackson Street, then left the scene. The sixty-two year old resident said damages totaled around $125.
