Ethridge Man Arrested As Fugitive From Florida

    A man residing in the Ethridge area was arrested last week as a fugitive in connection with charges issued through the State of Florida.

    On Wednesday, deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s and Lawrenceburg Police Departments made their way to Elk Valley Hardwood, located at 3618 Highway 43 North, Ethridge, where they spoke with Scott Lamar Elgin, age 33.

    Reports indicate that Elgin had been wanted on warrants of violation of probation and other crimes that had been issued through Okeechobee County, Florida.

    Elgin was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center. He was incarcerated under a charge of being a fugitive of justice, to await extradition to Florida.
