Additional donations needed for Santa for Seniors

With few donations coming in to this year’s Santa for Seniors program, the donation period has been extended until Wednesday of the coming week.

Additional donations of food, personal care items, household and cleaning supplies are needed along with heaters, warm clothing, coats, sleepwear, blankets, fresh fruit, small kitchen appliances, etc. Basically if it’s something you need in your home, they need it in their homes. A few fun, cheery items are always welcome, as they make a nice surprise for the recipients.

Donations may be dropped off at WLX, located at 1212 North Locust Avenue in Lawrenceburg.

During the coming week volunteers will be needed to assist in the packing, pickup and delivery portions of the program. We will pack on Wednesday. Volunteers will be needed beginning at around 1:00 p.m., and we will be working late.

Pickup will be from noon until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Many volunteers are needed on Friday during the delivery portion.

Volunteers should use the double glass doors at the rear of the building.
