Lawrenceburg Now
Theft
A Brace Road, Summertown resident reported to deputies that someone had stolen her 9mm handgun out of her glove box. Loss was estimated at $200.
Burglary
A $300 loss was reported by a Linville Road resident last week. The victim reported that someone had stolen a Remington 870 shotgun from inside his residence while he was out of town. He found no damage to exterior doors.
Theft
A woman filed a complaint with deputies indicating that she had been moving out of a home on Scenic Road, returning to find that someone had stolen her four wheeler. Loss was said to be $300.
Mailbox vandalism
Vandalism to a mailbox at 436 Railroad Bed Pike in Summertown resulted in a $200 loss for the owner. She told deputies that marks indicated someone had veered off the roadway, struck her mailbox, then returned to the roadway.
Theft
A local woman reported to deputies that her checkbook had gone missing from her vehicle after she loaned it to some relatives. She said they had been kept inside the glove compartment.
Vandalism
Deputies responded to Hudson Road in Ethridge where a victim reported nearly $3,000 worth of damage to his 2007 Lincoln truck. He said that the bed was pushed in, tail light damaged, and there was damage to the passenger side. He said that it may have been struck by a log truck, because he found tree bark and wood wedged in the broken taillight.
Burglary
A shop building on Ethridge Red Hill Road was burglarized, resulting in loss of around $20,000 for the owner. He reported to deputies that a 2014 Polaris Ranger Browning Edition had been stolen along with multiple LED lights.
Home burglary
A loss of $1,360.85 was reported at a home on Buie Road in Summertown. The resident reported to deputies that she returned home to find the front door was open. Deputies noted that the deadbolt lock had been forced open. Four guns were reported stolen along with various keys and medication.
Home burglary
Deputies were asked to investigate a home burglary on Richardson Avenue in Leoma last week. The resident reported a loss of around $1,500. She said she had gone to visit her mother and returned to find the front window had been busted out. She reported that her 55” TV was missing along with a 32” TV, Amazon fire stick, claw foot lamp, and a jewelry box with jewelry. Also stolen was a laptop computer and a computer router.
Theft
On Wednesday deputies responded to Beartown Road in Loretto where the resident reported the theft of a number of tools. He said he suspected a former employee had committed the crime. Loss totaled approximately $1,450.
