Wheels stolen off resident’s vehicle in his driveway
Lawrenceburg Now
A local man filed a complaint with law enforcement officers late last week, indicating that someone had pushed his truck to the rear of his home before jacking it up and stealing the wheels.
The incident was reported by a twenty-three year old resident of 310 West Point Road. He reported to Lawrenceburg Police officers Friday that the persons responsible had pushed his 1999 Toyota Tacoma to the rear portion of his driveway, jacked it up, stole the wheels, then left it sitting atop some coolers.
Officers report finding the truck still balanced on the coolers with the jack left underneath the front end. In addition to the wheels, the owner said that the persons responsible had stolen his Pioneer stereo from inside, causing damage to the radio plate. Altogether, loss and damages were said to total $3,265.
Presently, the case remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone who has information about the crime should contact the department at 931-762-2276.
