LCHS Virtual Enterprises International firm had successful showing at Midwest Region Trade Show
Lawrence County High School Virtual Enterprises International firm, Alpha & Omega had a successful showing at the Midwest Region Trade Show in Pigeon Forge, TN on November 21st.
The students were excited to be one of over 100 virtual firms being represented this year. Their hard work was greatly rewarded by earning 1st place in Business Card and 2nd place in Commercial competitions.
Alpha and Omega also received Top 10 recognition in Website design, Newsletter, Flyer and Brochure. They were the only firm to earn Top 10 recognition in all competitions. Firms from all across the country were in attendance.
The energy levels were high and the space was crowded as hundreds of students filled the Music Road Convention Center to buy and sell their products! The students did an exceptional job of implementing their marketing and sales skills in order to make this year’s trade fair a success. Their accomplishment was realized by assisting 138 customers and generating over $200,000 in virtual sales.
Attending this year’s trade fair were LCHS students Meghan Baker, Ben Barnett, Jannia Bowden, Chainey Brewer, Anniston Butler, Mattie Egly, Andrew Heath, Dawson James, Madison Mayer, Rob McGuire, Bri Snider, Jacob Snook, AnnsleyWatson, Will White, Virtual Enterprise Instructor Hope McDow, as well as chaperones Angie Bowden, Lori Egly, Tim Egly, Lee Sisk, Erin Sisk, and Shannon Watson.
The students are now utilizing class time to operate their virtual firm and to prepare for the International Trade Fair in New York City on April 2-6, 2017
The LCHS Virtual Enterprise Program would like to thank all of the community and family members for their continuing support in their fundraising efforts. Without your commitment and assistance the Virtual Enterprise Program could not exist!
