Tuesday Crime Report
Lawrenceburg Now
Theft
A Holtsford Street resident filed a complaint with police officers on Saturday after discovering that her medications were missing from the prescription bottles. She told officers that sixteen Xanax and sixteen Oxycodone pills had been stolen. She said nothing else appeared to be missing. The reporting officer noted that there was no sign of forced entry and nothing that would suggest that the home had been burglarized. Loss in the matter was said to be $160.
Vandalism
Police reports show that a Hoover Street resident suffered around $400 worth of damage at the hands of vandals during the weekend. When they arrived on the scene, officers report that all of the doors, including the back hatch, on the victim’s Nissan Xterra were open. A side mirror had been destroyed and a derogatory word carved into the paint on the driver’s door. Pieces of a pumpkin were found lying on the ground near the broken mirror and also lying in the driver’s side floorboard. While there were reports of a suspicious man walking in the vicinity, officers were unable to locate him. The victim said she had left the unlocked vehicle parked on the side of the street.
