Market Is Target Of Burglars
Burglars targeted a market in Ethridge overnight Friday, making off with energy drinks, tobacco products, a rifle, cash, and several other items.
Owners summoned deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department to Three Oaks Market, 4441 Highway 43 North, just before 6:00 a.m. Saturday The female owner said that she noticed something was amiss as she put away her purse. She noticed that the cash register and a cabinet beneath it had been opened and items were scattered about.
The male owner showed deputies a back window that the person responsible had used to gain entry to the store. He said that several items were missing from the rear of the store, as well.
Items reported missing include numerous tobacco products, cigarette lighters, cases of energy drinks, cold medicine, a case of Rolling Rock Alcohol, a 22 rifle, and $450 worth of cash and change. Combined, loss and damages were said to total $1,381.
