Theft
A Third Street resident reported to police officers Thursday that someone had stolen a 20” Freestyle bicycle from his front yard. The bike had a value of $100.
Theft
Officers spoke with a Third Street resident Thursday who reported that her purse had been taken from inside of her home sometime between 8:00 and 9:30 p.m. Loss was said to total $420.
Theft
On Friday officers responded to a West Scott Street address where a Leoma resident reported that a gray and black plastic tool box containing a variety of mechanic’s tools had been stolen. She estimated loss at $250.
Theft
A thirty-six year old woman who had recently been released from jail filed a complaint with police officers Saturday. She told them that went to pick up her clothes that she had left with a friend, but he told her that his niece had taken them. Altogether she estimated her loss to be $200.
Shoplifting
Walmart personnel reported last week that a man checking out through the self checkout counter and left without paying for a Straight Talk cell phone. They said he attempted to return the phone for a cash refund the following day. Wesley David Cloud, 44, of 1001 Milltown Road, Lewisburg was issued a citation, charging him with shoplifting. He is required to answer the charge in General Sessions Court on January 23, 2017.

A resident of Holtsford Street reported to officers last week that an acquaintance had left his home with his LG Metro K-7 cell phone. He said that he saw the woman pick it up and walk out of the front door. He told her to bring it back, but she refused. Loss was said to be $200.
Aggravated burglary
Officers were asked to investigate the theft of some cash from a Waterloo Street apartment last week. The victim, age 79, said that the money was stolen out of her bedroom. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing else appeared to be missing.

Loss Prevention personnel at Walmart reported last week that a woman had checked out through the self checkout counter, paying for some of the items she had collected, but not others in what they called a “skip scanning” technique. They estimated that she made off with $115.50 worth of merchandise.

Officers spoke with a Buffalo Road resident who reported that her LG cell phone, valued at $600, had gone missing from her home. There were no signs of forced entry, and the victim said that she had had no visitors in weeks.
Auto burglary
A purse containing $1,300 in cash was reportedly stolen out of a Springer Road resident’s unlocked 2009 Chevrolet Malibu while the owner was visiting a friend last week.
Theft
A Fain Court resident filed a complaint with officers, indicating that a man had stayed at his home the previous night. He said he left early that morning and returned to find that the man had left and that several packages of meat were missing from his freezer along with some canned goods. He said the items were worth around $36.
Theft
The owner of a rental property on West Taylor Street reported that her former tenant had moved to a nearby home, taking her Kenmore stove, valued at $300, with her. She said the she had moved one street over and she had seen the stove sitting in the yard while the woman was in the process of moving in.
Shoplifting
A Pulaski woman was issued citations charging her with shoplifting and burglary after she was seen shoplifting at Walmart by security personnel. They told officers that the woman had previously been banned from returning to any Walmart location. Peggy Nicole Inman, 35, is slated to appear in General Sessions Court on December 2, 2016.
