Lawrenceburg Now
Theft
A sixteen foot utility trailer was reported stolen from Beckman’s Metal Work on Second Street in Lawrenceburg Saturday. The owner reported it had been taken from behind the building. The trailer and items on it were valued at $1,600.
Theft
A home health worker reported to police officers Friday that a company-owned tablet had been stolen from the home of a patient on Geri Street. It had an estimated value of $200.
Vandalism
Police officers responded to 240 West Gaines Street Saturday afternoon where a Loretto resident reported that someone had scratched the paint on the side of his 2018 Dodge Charger. Damages totaled approximately $1,500.
Theft
Police officers recently investigated the theft of a green Kent bicycle, valued at $75, from beneath the carport of a home on First Avenue in Lawrenceburg. The complainant said the bike belonged to her son.
Theft
A First Street, Lawrenceburg resident reported to police officers recently that an acquaintance had been at her home the previous day and after he left she discovered that her wallet was missing from her purse. She estimated loss at $32.50.
Theft
Officers were recently called to Walmart to investigate the burglary of a 2004 Pontiac Vibe. The owner reported that a brown, wooden Stradivarius violin was stolen from the hatch area. She told officers that the violin was more than 100 years old and had been passed down from her grandfather. Paint on the driver’s door post indicated that someone had used some sort of unlocking tool to break into the vehicle. Damages and loss were estimated to be $500.
Vandalism
Around $3,000 worth of damage was reported to vehicles at a business on Second Street recently. Two individuals reported that someone had pulled into the parking lot “doing donuts”. They said that gravel that was slung from the action caused damage to the paint on their vehicles. Combined damages were said to be $3,000.
