Burglar caught coming out front door
Lawrenceburg Now
An Ethridge man was taken into custody by Lawrenceburg Police officers last week when they found him coming out of the front door of a home that had been burglarized.
Department reports show that detectives had gone to the Windsor Avenue home as part of their follow up investigation regarding an earlier burglary incident. They report that during the initial report the resident had pointed out that only she and two other people were allowed to be inside of her home.
When officers arrived at the home on Friday, they report that thirty-six year old Bob Braden of 8 Dry Weakley Road was exiting through the front door. He was detained at that point because he was not among the persons listed who were allowed to be inside.
While detaining Braden, detectives report that they could see through the front door that the back door of the home was standing open and appeared to be damaged. They found that the door and door frame had sustained around $200 worth of damage that could not be attributed to the initial burglary. A protective sweep of the home was made but no one else was found to be inside.
Detectives contacted the resident. She told them that she was not acquainted with Braden, nor should he be inside of her home for any reason.
Braden was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center where he was incarcerated on charges of aggravated burglary and vandalism. Bond was set at $11,000.
Braden has been scheduled an initial appearance in General Sessions Court on December 2, 2016.
