Thursday Crime Report
Theft
Around $2,000 in cash belonging to the LCHS Band Boosters was stolen following a football game last Friday. Police officers indicate that the culprit stole an apron containing the cash, from the concession stand. They are continuing to look into the matter.
Auto theft
A local man spoke with deputies Wednesday, indicating that his 2005 Nissan Altima had been stolen. He told deputies that his son had driven the car the previous night to an Iron City location. When he awoke the following morning, he said he found that the car was missing along with his wallet and cell phone. Loss in the case is in excess of $3,700.
Criminal littering and trespassing
A Turnpike, Summertown resident requested that deputies investigate Tuesday after finding that a large amount of garbage had been dumped in a field next to his driveway. Investigation into the matter is continuing.
Burglary
A resident of North Locust Avenue reported to police officers Monday that he had left his home for approximately thirty minutes, returning to discover that it had been burglarized. An X-box 360 system was stolen along with an Acer monitor, iPod touch, and various medications. Loss was estimated at $380.
Vandalism
Substantial damage was discovered at the City of Lawrenceburg’s Veterans Park Tuesday. The park keeper reported to police officers that a bridge, granite seating, and tree had been vandalized with spray paint. The persons responsible painted initials, a date, and obscenities on the various items.
