Woman sleeping on pallets outside business arrested for public intoxication

Police officers who investigated complaints regarding a woman sleeping on some pallets outside of a Lawrenceburg business eventually placed the woman under arrest for being intoxicated while in public.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department answered a call to Walmart on North Locust Avenue just before midnight Friday. Although the complainants had reported that an individual was lying on some pallets near the garden center, officers were unable to locate that person during their initial response.

When driving back through the parking lot a short time later, officers were flagged down by employees who reported that the woman was, again, lying on the pallets. They said that she was breathing and snoring and that each time they tried to awaken her she would nod off and begin snoring once again. When officers attempted to rouse the woman, they report that she continued to nod off and snore.

The woman, identified as thirty-six year old Sabrina Amanda Fralix of 1123 Clearview Avenue in Lawrenceburg was unable to tell officers how she got to the business and stated that she was lying on the pallets because she had a headache.

Fralix told officers that she had not driven to Walmart. She said that her vehicle was in Selmer, Tennessee. They later located her vehicle in the parking lot.

Fralix was checked at the scene by Emergency Medical Service personnel, then transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center. Officers report that when they asked for her phone number she, instead, gave them her Social Security number. Also, she told them that she had not been at Walmart and had not been driving.

Fralix was incarcerated under a charge of public intoxication with bond set at $1,000. She has been scheduled an initial appearance in General Sessions Court on December 1, 2016.
