Meds stolen from Bluff Drive home while resident was visiting neighbor
Lawrenceburg Now
Lawrenceburg authorities were asked to investigate when a local woman reported that someone had burglarized her home while she was visiting a neighbor.
On Tuesday, officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department responded to a home on Bluff Drive. The fifty-four year old victim reported that she had been at a neighbor’s home watching a movie when someone broke into her house. She said that she returned to her home to find that her belongings had been rummaged through. She said that the only thing that appeared to be missing was a bottle of Lortab pills.
Officers noted that it appeared that the burglar had entered through the unlocked front door, went directly to the victim’s bedroom, opened a dresser drawer, and removed all of her prescription bottles. The Lortab pills, which numbered one hundred fourteen, were the only ones stolen.
Loss in the case was approximately $114. The incident currently remains under investigation.
