Warrants Issued Against Woman Who Stole Money From Vendor’s Truck

Lawrenceburg Now

Law enforcement officers obtained warrants against a Lawrenceburg woman last week after she allegedly stole money out of a vendor’s delivery truck.

The forty-five year old victim reported to Lawrenceburg police officers that she is an independent vendor of Little Debbie snacks. She said that while she was delivering items to the Dollar General Store located at 1906 West Gaines Street, someone entered her delivery truck and stole her money bag. At the time the crime was committed, the victim said the bag contained a total of $478.

A witness told officers that the woman who stole the money bag sat inside her 2006 Toyota Corrola in the parking lot of the adjacent Quik Mart #20, and was counting the money. He told them that he confronted her and took the bag away from the woman, but that she began to back up and was able to escape with the cash. He told officers that the woman had nearly struck him with her car, as well as another male store patron. He was able to identify a suspect.

The suspect, identified as Cassie S. White, age 37 of 400B Choates Drive in Lawrenceburg, was later incarcerated in Wayne County. Officers were able to obtain warrants charging her with burglary and theft. They then submitted a request, asking that a hold be placed on her for return to Lawrence County.
