Woman reports men posing as police officers attempted to pull her over
Lawrenceburg Now
A local woman filed a complaint with law enforcement officers last week, indicating that two men posing as police officers had attempted to pull her over in the Summertown area.
The thirty-six year old victim reported the matter to deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. She said that she had been at Quik Mart on Highway 43 North when she noticed a white, newer model car situated in the corner of the parking lot. She told deputies that she pulled out, traveling south, and that the driver began to follow her.
The victim reported that car occupants activated “blue lights in the windshield to imitate a police car.” She said she pulled over near an auto salvage business and two men exited the vehicle and began to approach her. She said that “she didn’t feel comfortable about the situation” so she sped away.
The victim reported to deputies that the men followed her nearly all the way to her home, but eventually “turned around and sped away.” She said she had been unable to obtain any identifying information. The matter currently remains under investigation.
