Bi-monthly meeting of Lawrenceburg Council is Thursday morning

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council will be held Thursday morning.

One ordinance appears on this week’s agenda, involving an amendment to the city’s 2016-2017 budget ordinance.

There are four resolutions on the agenda. Two of the resolutions would allow the fire department to apply for Assistance to Firefighters Grant funds in regards to the purchase of breathing air compressors and a vehicle. They would allow for JMCM Consulting to apply for and administer the grants.

Another resolution being considered is in regards to a contract grant agreement with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency.

The final resolution on the agenda is to authorize the Lawrenceburg Public Works Department to request bids for fencing for baseball fields at Bobby Brewer Memorial Park.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 8:30 Thursday morning at the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex on the Public Square.
