Lengthy agenda awaits Lawrenceburg Council at Thursday meeting
Lawrenceburg Now
Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council will meet in regular session Thursday to consider a number of business items.
The council will meet in regular session at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex on the Public Square.
Items on the agenda include the following:
*Second and final reading of an ordinance to amend the city's personnel rules and regulations regarding benefits and holidays.
*First reading of an ordinance to amend the city's 2017-2018 fiscal year budget to include proceeds from the sale of seized vehicles in the police department.
*First reading of an ordinance to amend the city's 2017-2018 fiscal year budget to include Safe Routes to School grant funds.
*A resolution to reappoint John Beasley as the city's representative on the Babe Ruth Board.
*A resolution to enter into an extension of the inter-local agreement for the joint and cooperative operation and maintenance of a centralized Emergency Dispatch Center.
*A resolution to authorize the fire department to request bids for firefighter turn-out gear
*A resolution approving the purchase of a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe from the Missouri Highway Patrol for use by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.
*A resolution to approve the purchase of a 2003 Ford F-250 from Chris Barnett for use by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.
*A resolution to declare property seized through the police department as surplus to be sold at auction on the internet.
*A resolution authorizing the delegation to the Industrial Development Board of the City of Lawrenceburg the authority to negotiate and accept from the issuer's lessees payment in lieu of ad valorem taxes and related matters.
