Visitors steal resident’s money and medications

Lawrenceburg Now

Police reports indicate that visitors to a Lawrenceburg man’s home made off with his money and medications last week.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were summoned to a Tipton Street home at around 7:45 Friday evening. The fifty-seven year old victim told officers that several people had stopped by his home. After they left, he discovered that $250 that he had stashed inside of a cigarette pack had been stolen along with $150 from his jacket pocket. In addition, he said that his prescription valium and lortab pills had been stolen. Altogether, loss was estimated to be $480.

The victim was able to identify two suspects in the crime. Investigation in the case is currently on-going.
