Wednesday Crime Report
Vandalism
Police officers responded to a Third Street home where the resident reported noticing fingerprints on his son’s bedroom window and damage to the door from at the back door. Nothing was reported missing. Damages were said to be $250.
Aggravated criminal littering
Officers were asked to investigate when a Fourth Street resident discovered that someone had dumped carpet on the southwest corner of his property. Approximately seventy-five pounds of carpet were dumped near the alley that runs between Third and Fourth Streets.
Auto burglary
The owner of a 2002 Ford Ranger reported that his truck was burglarized while parked outside of his Douglas Drive home. Entry was gained through an unlocked sliding rear window. Knives were reportedly stolen, however no damage was incurred. Loss was approximately $210.
Vandalism
Authorities are investigating a vandalism incident at a Maple Avenue residence that resulted in around $250 in damage. The resident reported that someone broke a front window while she was away from home.
Vandalism
A Summertown woman reported to Lawrenceburg Police officers that someone had damaged her 2012 Chevrolet Equinox while she was working at a Lawrenceburg business. It appeared that someone had attempted to gain entry to the vehicle through a window, resulting in damages. She estimated damages to total $1,500.
Vehicle burglary
Police officers responded to Dollar General on North Military Avenue where a business patron reported that someone had broken into her car while it was parked in the parking lot. She said that she had gone into the store, made some purchases, then came back to her vehicle to find that several things were missing. A backpack containing three newly-purchased college books was taken along with a notebook containing personal information and around $20 in cash. Total loss was around $470.
Vandalism
The manager at Dairy Queen on North Locust Avenue in Lawrenceburg reported to police officers that someone had cut a line leading from an outside CO2 tank to the inside of the restaurant. Damages were around $50.
Burglary
Officers responded to the Lawrenceburg Soccer Association concession stand on John Pillow Drive where members reported that someone had broken into the building. A padlock was missing from the door along with $250 in cash that had been taken from the cash drawer.
Vandalism
A resident of Lawrenceburg’s Second Street reported a $150 loss as the result of a damaged fence. He said that he believed the fence at the rear of his property had been damaged by neighborhood children who had been riding four wheelers in the adjacent alley.
Theft
A Smart Watch and cell phone were reported stolen by a resident of Manor Drive. She told officers that she believed the items had been stolen who had recently stayed with her. Loss was estimated at $280.
