A Lawrenceburg man reported to police officers that someone had vandalized his 2008 Dodge Ram while he was at Busy Bee Market on Buffalo Road. He said he exited to find the paint had been scratched from front to rear on the passenger’s side. He estimated damages at $1,500.
Vehicle burglary
Police officers responded to a home on Third Street where the resident reported that his truck had been burglarized overnight while parked in his driveway. Missing were Oakley sunglasses and some headphones with a combined value of around $525.
Burglary
A resident of Gaither Avenue reported to police officers that somehow, someone had stolen $15 worth of change from inside her home. She told officers that she is the sole resident and the only one with a key. Officers noted there were no signs of forced entry.
Vandalism
A man who resides on Old Florence Road reported to officers Monday that he had exited his home to find that a neighbor’s dog had dragged away and damaged one of his lawn decorations, valued at $7.
Theft
Officers answered a call to Plummer Street where the resident reported that a visitor had stolen her wallet and cell phone. She said the woman had driven here from Georgia and that she had tried to grab some cash lying on her table as compensation for the expense of the trip. The resident took back her money and the woman left. Later she discovered that the wallet and phone were missing. She told officers she called her phone and spoke with the woman who informed her that she was half-way back to Georgia and “could have her stuff back after she mailed her some money for driving up from Georgia.”
Theft
An employee of Dura Automotive reported to officers that the tail light assemblies had been stolen off of his 2005 Chevrolet Colorado while it was parked in the northeast corner of the parking lot. One had been replaced with a similar assembly that had tinted lenses. Loss was approximately $180.
