Burglars try to break through wall of adjoining business

Lawrenceburg Now

Burglars attempted to gain entry to a Lawrenceburg business last week by breaking through a wall of an adjoining space.

Lawrenceburg Police officers responded to Ricky B's Check Cashing at 403 West Gaines Street Saturday to investigate. Owners reported that sometime during the previous night burglars had kicked open a back door on the neighboring unit. Inside, officers found that the burglars had attempted to bust through the wall shared by the two business spaces. They were unsuccessful, however, in their attempt to gain entry.

Officers found square shaped holes and torn spots on the drywall. They collected evidence that included a T-post, concrete block, and gloves. The victims reported that the unit had sustained approximately $300 in damage.
