Wednesday Crime Report
Lawrenceburg Now
Theft
A Norton Road resident reported a loss of nearly $400 as the result of the theft of a firearm. The victim reported to sheriff’s deputies that an Armscor model 206 .38 special pistol in a brown leather holster had gone missing from his home. He said he had no idea who could have taken it. Deputies were unable to locate any sign of forced entry to the home.
Theft
Deputies spoke with a Lawrenceburg man who reported he had been hanging out with some people at Dave Hill Creek, and the following day he noticed that his medication and $140 cash was missing from the console of his Jeep.
Vandalism
Damages of around $500 were incurred by an Ethridge couple who reported Saturday that someone had busted the rear window out of their 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix.
Vandalism
A woman who leases property on Stateline Road in Loretto filed a complaint with deputies, indicating that someone had cut a barbed wire fence on approximately twelve separate occasions recently. She said that multiple people had been trespassing on the property riding four wheelers. She estimated damages at $50.
Burglary
A couple reported to deputies Sunday that a window air conditioner had been removed, then placed back into the window of their Grassy Branch Road home. The person responsible for the crime apparently exited through a rear door, leaving it unlocked. The only item that appeared to be missing was a Husqvarna chainsaw valued at $300 that had been stored in a shed.
Burglary
Deputies responded to a Barnett Drive home Sunday where the resident reported someone had broken into his outbuilding, stealing a 20” Poulan chainsaw valued at $75. He said his daughter’s 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac had been entered, as well, and doors left open. A brush guard with LED light bar was stolen out of the bed of the truck and the consoled lid was broken. Altogether loss and damages were estimated to be $425.
