Tuesday Crime Report
Theft
A Lawrenceburg grandmother reported that a foster parent had picked up a refill on her five year old granddaughter’s prescription medication a week after the child had been transferred into her custody. She requested that police officers investigate the matter.
Recovered property
A Simpson Street resident reported to police officers Thursday evening that a maroon, twenty-six inch, Roadmaster Elevation, ten-speed bicycle had been abandoned in the middle of the street several hours before. Neighbors said they had no knowledge about the bike. It was transported to the city’s impound lot pending further investigation.
Damaged street signs
A resident of Fleet Street reported to police officers that he had watched as a car veered off of the street, running over a street sign and breaking the sign post. The driver then fled, heading east. Members of the Highway Department quickly replaced the broken post. The driver was described as a male in his late 20s to early 30s with a dark complexion and dark hair, driving a newer model maroon car.
