First, the commission honored Mr. Charles Robertson for serving as interim commissioner for the 15th District from May until September. Robertson had previously served the 15th District as commissioner 2006-2010 and agreed to serve until a permanent replacement was chosen by the people in the August election.
Second, former Deputy Circuit Court Clerk Debbie White was honored for 30 years of outstanding service to Lawrence County. Debbie served honorably under several administrations and judges and retired early this year.
Finally, the commission recognized Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputy Jamie Kiddy for being named Tennessee School Resource Officer of the Year. Kiddy, who is the SRO at New Prospect School, was awarded this distinction by the TN School Resource Officer Association in June.
