Wednesday Crime Report

Shoplifting

On Sunday, employees of Kountry Kupboard, 2339 Highway 43 South, reported to police officers that, shortly prior to that time, a man had shoplifted some items before leaving the premises. Video surveillance showed that the man had taken three candy bars and a package of peanuts with a combined value of $7. The employee reported that the man had left the premises traveling southbound in a red truck.

Vehicle burglary

Officers responded to a home on Clearview Avenue last week where a twenty year old resident reported that someone had burglarized her 2001 Chevrolet Impala. She told officers that sometime between 2:00 and 5:00 a.m. someone had stolen out of her car some sunglasses, a Beats Pill portable speaker, iPod, prescription eye glasses, baby mirror, a taser, electronic Vape, checkbook, and an auxiliary cord. She estimated that her loss totaled $310.
