Thursday Morning Meeting Scheduled For Lawrenceburg Council

Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council will meet in regular session Thursday morning to consider a few items of business.

Council members will consider on second and final reading an ordinance to “regulate and prohibit the parking of motor vehicles and other vehicles on either side of Parrish Street from LaFayette Avenue for 800 feet east on Parrish to the bottom of the hill.” The measure is proposed to regulate parking due to bus traffic in the vicinity of Coffman Middle School.

Council members will consider passage of two recommended amendments to the city’s zoning ordinance. Both are being brought on first reading.

Another ordinance, scheduled for first reading, would “regulate and prohibit the parking of motor vehicles and other vehicles on Springer Drive, from Parrish Street to East Gaines Street.”

The meeting will get underway at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the council meeting room at the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex on the Public Square. The meeting is open to the public.
