Giles County Sheriff's Department conducted a traffic stop during the week that resulted in the arrest of a suspected narcotics dealer.

The Giles County Sheriff's Department released the following statement regarding the arrest:

"Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Suspected Narcotics Dealer

On September 17, 2020, a speeding violation led to the seizure of 94 grams (3.3 ounces) of a white powder substance, suspected to be Cocaine. 

Deputy Robert Gurley initiated the traffic stop a short distance south of exit 22 on Lewisburg Highway. The operator of the vehicle, Jammie White, 45, of Pulaski, turned onto private property evading Gurley for a short period of time before coming to a stop. White was subsequently placed into custody for Possession of Schedule II (Cocaine) for Resale, Tampering with Evidence (two counts), Evading Arrest, Criminal Trespassing & Vandalism. Along with the narcotics, $1,392 in cash, and White’s vehicle was also seized. 

James Michael Crenshaw, 42, of Pulaski, TN, a passenger in the vehicle with White was also arrested and charged with Possession of Schedule II (Cocaine) for Resale. 

Deputy Gurley was assisted by Inv. Thomason, Inv. Bass, Deputy Grenko and Sgt. Hasting."
