Officers were able to review security video that showed a man taking the wallet from the self-checkout after the victim left it lying there and walked to the pharmacy. Loss was reported to be $526.
Burglary
An Abernathy Street resident filed a complaint with police officers, indicating that a Smith & Wesson Shield 9mm pistol had been stolen from beneath the seat in his wife's 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis. The pistol had a value of $400.

Officers responded to Smith Avenue Wednesday to investigate a break-in. The resident reported that the glass was broken from the back door. Reports indicate that a crock pot had been thrown through the window, resulting in damages of $150.
Theft
On Wednesday, officers spoke with a Paducah, Kentucky woman who reported that former tenants had stolen $3,245 worth of her belongings from her rental property. Furniture, appliances, TVs, a chainsaw, air conditioner, ladder, welding helmet, curtains, and a truck tool box were among the items stolen.
