Qualifying Petitions Can Be Issued Now

The Lawrence County Election Commission would like to announce it's time to issue qualifying petitions for Assessor of Property. The County Democrat and Republican Primary for this office will be on March 1, 2016.

Also, petitions will be issued for Circuit Court Judge Part 1 and Part 2 unexpired terms. These two positions were previously held by Judge Jim Hamilton, Part 1 and Judge Robert Holloway, Part 2.

Qualifying petitions can be issued now and the qualifying deadline is December 10, 2015 at 12noon.
