Resident reports that manager had items removed from her apartment
Lawrenceburg Now
A Lawrenceburg woman filed a complaint with law enforcement officers on Monday, indicating that the property manager had items removed from her apartment while she was away.
The thirty-four year old victim filed the complaint through officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department. She said that she had been having problems with the property manager where she lived and had taken her family to stay at a motel after her water service was disrupted.
She said that she returned to the Manor Drive apartment Monday to find that someone had been inside. She discovered that her microwave oven, a tool box filled with hand tools and around $45 in loose change were missing.
The victim told officers that she had spoken with another tenant outside who informed her that her mother, who also resides at the apartment complex, was in possession of the microwave.
Officers checked with the woman and she readily returned it. She told officers that she and her roommate had gone into the victim’s home because the apartment manager had asked them to do so. She said that the manager told them that the resident had been evicted and that they would be paid to remove the victim’s belongings and clean the apartment.
Investigation into the incident is on-going at the present time.
