Burglary
Sheriff's deputies answered a call to Big Springs Terrace on Tuesday where they found that someone had kicked open the front door, causing damage to the lock and door frame. The resident reported that a Sony DVD player appeared to be the only thing missing. The victim reported that the burglary had occurred sometime between the hours of 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. Loss and damages were estimated to total $500.
Theft
A Leoma man filed a complaint with deputies on Sunday, indicating that someone had stolen several items out of his van; likely while he was at an area market. Items stolen included a Dewalt drill bundle case containing an impact drill, regular drill, three 20 volt batteries, and charger. Altogether, loss was said to be $600.
Vandalism
Deputies responded to a Highway 43 North home where the resident reported that a motorist had "come across the northbound lane and jumped his ditch hitting his mailbox."
Damages were approximately $50.
Attempted burglary
Damages totaling $350 were reported due to the attempted burglary of a Pulaski Highway home. Reports show that someone attempted to break in through the back door, causing damage to both the door and the frame.
Theft
A resident of Freedom Road reported to deputies that someone had stolen a 2008 Honda Recon ATV sometime between September 2 and 5. The vehicle was entered into hte National Crime Information Center.
Theft
Owners who were in the process of remodeling a home on Mattoxtown Road reported that someone had stolen fifteen cedar posts from the property. They had a combined value of $200.
Theft
The theft of power tools from a Highway 43 North home resulted in a $1,575 loss. The victims reported that several power tools had gone missing from the property during a period of a few days. Missing were a Husqvarna pole saw, Husqvarna weed eater, Napa impact wrench, Central Pneumatic air impact gun. One of the residents reported seeing a black truck in the driveway during that time period.
