Theft
A Leoma man filed a complaint with police officers Friday, indicating that someone had stolen his 1990 Chevrolet S-10 truck. He told officers he had left it, locked, in a parking lot at the North Military Avenue/Deller Street intersection, which is owned by Neal Funeral Home. He said that it was left there because he had blown a head gasket and left it near the home of the person who was supposed to fix it. Officers spoke with individuals at surrounding businesses, but report that no one knew anything about it.
Vandalism
Officers answered a call to Carroll Avenue Saturday where a resident reported that a person was breaking the windows on the home. The victim, age 60, reported that a fifty-seven year old acquaintance had come to the home looking for a female resident. When he told him that she was not home, he said he walked away. Shortly afterwards the man reportedly broke two windows on a rear bedroom. The suspect spoke with the officer as well, admitting that he had broken the windows because he was angry. He and the victim agreed to allow him to fix the windows instead of filing charges. Damages were estimated to total $300.
Burglary
Police officers made their way to a Massey Avenue address last week where a Summertown man reported that someone had forced their way into a storage unit by breaking the lock form the door. He told officers that an antique dresser, hunting bow, and an infrared heater with a combined value of $950, was missing.
