Teens caught on security video burglarizing, vandalizing business
Lawrenceburg Now
A pair of young teenagers was caught on security video during the weekend, burglarizing and vandalizing a local business.
Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department spoke with officials at Performance Feed, LLC at 122 Fourth Street at around 6:30 Saturday morning. They reported that their security system had captured images of two young teens entering the business by way of a feed shoot on the west side of the building at around 6:00 the previous evening.
The video showed the pair running through the building. As they left, they stole a fire extinguisher and took it with them.
Reports show that the fire extinguisher was discharged both on the side of the building and on the nearby railroad tracks. In addition, officers found that someone had used a large rock to smash locks off of the track derail switches, which are only used when feed is delivered. Loss and damages resulting from the crime were estimated at $160.
Investigation into the incident is on-going at the present time. Anyone who has pertinent information is urged to contact the police department at 931-762-2276.
