Victim claims ex assaulted her with his scooter

Emergency medical personnel gave medical attention to a Geri Street resident last week after she was allegedly assaulted by her ex-boyfriend on his motorized scooter.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department responded to Lions Club Apartments Wednesday afternoon where they spoke with the fifty-three year old victim.

She reported that she had been walking her friend’s dog on the sidewalk when she met her ex-boyfriend on his motorized scooter. She told officers that when they met on the sidewalk “he intentionally darted and hit her on the left ankle and foot with the foot rest of the scooter, causing bruising and a skin tear.”

Officers requested that members of the Emergency Medical Service respond to check the victim’s injury and provide any care needed.

The victim explained to officers that she and the man had separated several months prior, and that she had subsequently moved in with a friend, who also resided in the apartment complex.
