Brief Agenda Awaits Lawrenceburg Council
Lawrenceburg Now
Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council will have only a few items of business to consider when they meet in regular session Thursday morning.
The sole ordinance, scheduled to be brought for second and final reading, would prohibit the parking of motor vehicles along both sides of Parrish Street, from Lafayette Avenue “for eight hundred feet east on Parrish to the bottom of the hill.”
Council members are scheduled to consider passage of two resolutions. The first would allow the city to “enter into a contract agreement with Jerry W. Reynolds as architect for the Lawrenceburg Fire Department Station One renovations.” The second is to allow the council to accept property from the former Old Timers Club “and declare said property as surplus in the Parks and Recreation Department to be sold in accordance with the Lawrenceburg purchasing policy.”
The meeting, which is open to the public, will get underway at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the council meeting room of the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex on the Public Square.
