Lawrenceburg Now
Theft
Police officers answered a call to a May Street home on Monday, where the resident reported his bicycle had been stolen. He described it as a silver, 26”, 18-speed Road Master bike with an oversized seat. He told officer that he had parked the bike beside his back porch, but when he came back outside a couple of hours later, it was missing. Value was estimated to be $96.
Theft
Officers were called to a home on May Street late last week to investigate a theft. The thirty-six year old victim reported that someone had stolen a tool box and tools from a home he was remodeling. He said tools that belonged to the property owner were stolen, as well. Altogether, he estimated the tools’ value at $605.
Aggravated burglary
A Granddaddy Road resident filed a complaint with police officers after he returned to his home after work Friday to find that someone had stolen his 55” Vizio TV, a Play Station 4 gaming system, and a Jack and Crank video game. The items had a combined value of around $1,570. Reportsindicate there were no signs of forced entry.
Aggravated burglary
Officers were dispatched to a Lawrence Street address where a resident, age 26, reported that someone had broken into his home. He told officers that DVDs, a camera, an iPhone 5s with charger, and a tool box and tools were stolen, resulting in a $695 loss. He reported that he had found a jacket lying on a chair in his living room. He was able to name a suspect in the case, indicating that the individual had taken a phone and bicycle from him the previous day. Although there was no sign of forced entry the victim said that the locks on the doors were easily opened.
