Counterfeit bills passed at Lawrenceburg restaurant

Local law enforcement officers were called upon to investigate during the weekend after counterfeit money was passed at a Lawrenceburg business.

Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that officers were called to Domino’s Pizza, located at 225 East Gaines Street, at around 6:45 Saturday evening. Employees reported that two counterfeit $20 bills had been discovered in the money they had taken in that evening. Employees said that they were uncertain who had passed the bills, or when the crime had occurred.

Investigation into the incident is on-going currently through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
