Vandalism
Police officers investigated an instance of vandalism at a Mahr Avenue home last week. The victim reported that a latch on the right rear vent window on her 1999 Toyota Van had been broken while it was parked at her residence. Damages totaled approximately $75.
Recovered property
Officers were asked to investigate last week when a man rode a bicycle between two homes on Third Street, got off the bike, then stole another bike and rode away. The victim said that his bicycle was located down the street by a neighbor later that day. The abandoned bicycle, a ten-speed Mongoose Placid bike, was transported to the city’s impound lot pending further investigation.
Burglary
On Monday police officers answered a call to Third Street where the resident reported that someone had entered her unlocked 2015 Ford Escape overnight, stealing a black/silver Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun and holster along with prescription meds Adipex and Adderall. Loss was said to be $437.
