Wednesday Crime Report
Lawrenceburg Now
Burglary
Deputies were called to Dunn Leoma Road Monday where the owner reported his shop had been burglarized the previous night. He reported that someone had pried open a Cornwell Harley Davidson edition toolbox, damaging the lid and lock. Numerous tools were stolen including two Dewalt hammer drills, a box of metric sockets, a box of Dewalt drill bits and sockets, several Craftsman ratchets, and a number of hand tools. A neighbor reported hearing dogs barking at around 9:00 p.m.
Attempted burglary
Residents of West Point Road filed a complaint with deputies Sunday, indicating that their home had been targeted in a burglary attempt. They reported that a screen had been removed from a rear window and holes were made in the rubber seal, and that they had discovered pry marks around both the front and rear doors. They said that the crime had occurred sometime between 1:00 and 7:00 p.m. that day.
Theft
A Summertown man reported a loss of $49 to deputies Saturday, indicating that the Alabama resident to whom he had recently stolen a vehicle had ignored repeated attempts he had made to get back his Tennessee license plate. He told deputies that the man had agreed to return his license plate at the time the sale was made.
Theft
Deputies responded to a Lone Star Road residence Friday where a victim reported that a white twenty-gallon Yeti cooler, with a value of $300, had been stolen out of her Jeep. She said her roommate had noticed that change was missing from her change purse, as well. The change purse had been also been inside of a vehicle.
