Thursday Morning Meeting Planned For Lawrenceburg Council
Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council are scheduled to meet in regular session Thursday morning to consider a moderate agenda.
Council members will consider approval of the city’s 2015-2016 budget ordinance, establishing a spending plan for the city as well as a property tax rate for those who own property inside the city limits. The ordinance is being considered on second and final reading.
Also being considered on second reading is an ordinance that would amend ordinances concerning “refuse and trash disposal – service fees for collection and removal of refuse, trash, garbage, and other materials.”
An ordinance scheduled for first reading is one that would “regulate and prohibit parking…on either side of Parrish Street from Lafayette Avenue for 800 feet east on Parrish to the bottom of the hill.”
The last item appearing on the agenda is a resolution that calls for the council “to accept property donated by the Lawrence County Government located on the Public Square as approved.”
The meeting, which is open to the public, gets underway at 8:30 a.m. inside the council meeting room at the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex on the Public Square.
