Items Stolen Out Of Park Superintendent’s Vehicle

Local detectives were called upon to investigate after items were stolen out of a park superintendent’s vehicle during the weekend.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department reports, deputies responded to David Crockett State Park on Saturday where the Park Superintendent reported that items had been stolen out of his patrol car.

Items with a combined value of $1,635 were reported missing including a backpack, 18 volt Dewalt impact drill and drill holster, and a Phillips AED in a red case.

The superintendent said that he had been at work between 10:00 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. and that the crime likely occurred during that time period.
