Gas theft
Owners of Marshall’s Grocery in Ethridge reported to deputies Friday that an individual had pumped $15.04 worth of gasoline, then drove away without paying for it. The man reportedly told another store patron that he was going to “pull over and park.” The witness said he got into his truck, circled the store, then left heading northbound on Highway 43 at a high rate of speed.
Burglary
A home on Pebble Hill Road, Leoma was burglarized while the residents were away on Sunday. A male resident told deputies that the crime occurred sometime between the hours of 8:00 a .m. and 9:00 p.m. Firearms, valued at $1,100, were reportedly missing from a gun cabinet.
Burglary
A resident of Park Grove Road reported to deputies Sunday that his home had been burglarized while he was away. A cell phone and firearms were stolen, resulting in a loss of around $900. He said that the burglary occurred during the previous week. He had arrived home to find that a bedroom window on the south end of the home had been opened.
